Challenge

The L10-E satellite platform, operated by GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland, is located in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, around 70 km north west of Den Helder, in a water depth of approximately 27 m.

DEME was contracted by GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland (part of the ENGIE Group) to transport and install the crane elements onto the L10-E platform.

Solution

The new platform crane, consisted of three separate crane elements that had to be installed onto the L10-E platform. The crane elements were delivered to the port of Antwerp, where we loaded them onto the deck of the HLJV 'Neptune'. The HLJV 'Neptune' transported the crane pedestal, platform crane and the crane maintenance platform towards the L10-E platform and lifted the crane elements onto the platform.

Cable Installation Engineer

Trencher Supervisor on board

Project QHSE-S Engineer
